How to Apply Miss Muse Pre-Glued Lash Clusters
Your Beginner-Friendly Guide to Effortlessly Beautiful Lashes
New to pre-glued lash clusters? You're in the right place!
Miss Muse makes achieving beautiful, salon-inspired lashes at home simple — even if it's your very first time.
Before You Begin
Here's what you'll need:
- Your Miss Muse pre-glued lash clusters
- Your included lash applicator
- A clean mirror
- Optional: Lash curler, gentle lash tape and small, clean scissors
What are pre-glued lash clusters?
Unlike traditional false lashes, Miss Muse clusters come with adhesive already attached. Each cluster is a small group of lashes designed to attach underneath your natural upper lashes.
The pre-glued band should stick to your natural lash hairs, never your eyelid skin or waterline.

STEP 1 — PREP
Start with clean, dry lashes.
- Cleanse: Make sure your natural lashes are completely clean, dry and free from mascara, oils and skincare residue.
- Curl (Optional): Gently curl your natural lashes before application for a more lifted, elevated lash look.
- Lash Tape (Optional): Apply gentle, skin-safe lash tape above your upper lash line to slightly lift your eyelid, making your natural lashes easier to see. Avoid placing tape directly on your lash hairs or waterline.
- Position Your Mirror: Place your mirror slightly below eye level and look downward to clearly see underneath your upper lashes.
Muse Tip: Curling helps create a more lifted finish, while lash tape makes your natural lash line easier to see. Both are optional — choose whichever works best for you!
STEP 2 — PICK
Choose your lash length and desired look.
Miss Muse comes in five lengths: 8 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm, 14 mm and 16 mm.
Before applying, choose your desired lash look and follow its recommended lash map.
A lash map simply tells you which lash length to place at each part of your eye.
How to pick up a cluster:
- Choose the first length from your lash map, usually 8 mm for the inner corner.
- Using your included lash applicator, gently grip the cluster by its lash fibres, just above the pre-glued band.
- Carefully lift it from the tray without pulling or damaging the adhesive.
Muse Tip — Pick with Care: Always grip your lash cluster gently by the lash fibres just above the pre-glued band. Avoid picking it up from the top or tips of the lashes, as this can pull on the delicate lash fibres, distort their shape or damage the cluster. A gentle grip near the base helps keep your cluster intact and ready for a seamless application.
STEP 3 — PLACE
Follow your natural lash line for a seamless fit.
This is where your lash look comes to life!
- Look Down: Position your mirror slightly below eye level and look downward to clearly see underneath your natural upper lashes.
- Start at the Inner Corner: Begin where you have enough healthy natural lash hairs to support a cluster. Avoid the very fine, delicate lashes closest to your tear duct.
- Choose Your Length: Start with the shortest length on your chosen lash map, usually 8 mm, and work towards the outer corner.
- Align With Your Eye Shape: Before attaching, position the cluster so the pre-glued band follows the natural curve of your lash line. Each cluster should sit comfortably without being forced into place.
- Customise Your Fit (Optional): If a cluster is too wide or doesn't follow the natural curve of your eye, you can carefully cut it into smaller sections using clean, small scissors. Cut between the lash groups to keep the pre-glued adhesive intact. Apply the smaller sections individually, following the curve of your natural lash line. Always cut before application, never while the cluster is attached to your eye.
- Place Close to the Root: Look down into your mirror and gently position the pre-glued band underneath your upper natural lashes, as close to their roots as comfortably possible — approximately 1–2 mm away from your waterline. The adhesive should grip your natural lash hairs, never your skin.
- Attach Gently: Angle the cluster to follow the direction of your natural lashes. Gently bring the pre-glued band into contact with the base of your natural lash hairs, then lightly press to secure it.
- Continue Outwards: Follow your chosen lash map from the inner corner towards the outer corner, adjusting the angle of each cluster to follow your eye shape.
Muse Tip — Get the Placement Just Right
- Aim for the roots, not the skin. Position the pre-glued band close to the base of your natural lash hairs, without touching your skin or waterline, for a seamless finish.
- Look down, not straight ahead. This helps expose the underside of your upper lashes for easier placement.
- Follow the curve. If a full cluster doesn't sit naturally along your lash line, carefully cut it into smaller sections with clean scissors before applying.
- Get it right the first time. Take your time to align each cluster before pressing it into place. This helps minimise repositioning and unnecessary contact with the adhesive.
- Press gently. Once positioned, lightly press the cluster and your natural lashes together to help secure the adhesive.
Remember: Your clusters should feel lightweight and comfortable. If you feel poking, pinching or irritation, gently remove and reposition them.
Choose Your Placement Style
Option 1 — Slightly Overlapping Clusters
For a fuller, more seamless finish, you can slightly overlap the lash fibres of neighbouring clusters.
Make sure each pre-glued band attaches securely to your natural lash hairs.
With proper application and care, Miss Muse lashes can last up to 5–7 days. Overlapping itself does not guarantee longer wear.
Option 2 — Side-by-Side Clusters
Prefer a simpler application?
Place your clusters neatly side by side without overlapping.
This makes individual clusters easier to access when it's time to remove them.
Always soften the adhesive before removing any cluster.
Beginner Tip: For your first application, try placing clusters side by side until you're comfortable with the technique.
STEP 4 — PRESS
Secure your clusters in place.
Once you've positioned your clusters, it's time to secure them.
- Using your lash applicator, gently press the clusters together with your natural lashes.
- Apply light, even pressure to help the pre-glued adhesive grip securely.
- Check that each cluster feels comfortable and properly attached.
Muse Tip: A gentle press is all you need! Avoid squeezing too hard or pinching your eyelid with the applicator.
Your clusters should feel lightweight and comfortable, without poking or pulling.
STEP 5 — REPEAT
Complete your signature lash look.
You're almost there!
- Continue applying clusters from the inner corner towards the outer corner.
- Follow your chosen lash map, changing lengths as you go.
- Check your finished lashes in the mirror and make any necessary adjustments.
- Repeat the same process on your other eye.
Muse Tip: Your first application might take a little practice, and that's completely normal. Take your time, work one cluster at a time, and enjoy creating your own signature lash look.
Find Your Perfect Lash Map
Not sure which lash lengths to use?
A lash map helps you arrange different lengths to create your desired look.
All maps below are shown from INNER CORNER → OUTER CORNER.
Remember: These lash maps are starting points, not strict rules. You can adjust the lengths and number of clusters depending on your eye shape, natural lashes and desired look.
The finished effect also depends on the curl and density of your chosen Miss Muse lash style.
A Few Things Every Beginner Should Remember
1. Always attach to your natural lashes.
The adhesive should grip your natural lash hairs, never your skin or waterline.
2. Follow your eye shape.
Your lash clusters should follow the natural curve of your lash line for a comfortable, seamless finish.
3. Don't force a cluster into place.
If it feels uncomfortable, gently remove it and reposition it.
4. No extra glue needed.
Miss Muse clusters come with pre-applied adhesive, so there's no need for traditional lash glue.
5. Remove gently.
When it's time for a fresh set, soften the adhesive using a warm, damp compress or a suitable eye-safe remover. Never pull on your natural lashes.
6. Comfort always comes first.
If you experience redness, irritation, pinching or discomfort, discontinue use and gently remove the clusters.
